Sent home from the local school on Jersey and educated by his mother. Royal Academy Schools, London from the age of 11.

Chronology/Biography of John Everett Millais:

1848: Founded the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood with D.G. Rossetti and W. Holman Hunt.

1853: Became an Associate of the Royal Academy.

1863: Millais became a full Member of the Royal Academy.

Marriage:

1854: Effie Gray. Formerly the wife of John Ruskin.
